Hamilton has one central library and five community libraries. The central library is located in Garden Place and the community libraries are located in St Andrews, Glenview, Chartwell, Hillcrest and Dinsdale.

Hamilton City Libraries offer free membership to people living in the city and provide access to books, DVDs, CDs, archives, magazines, and a lot more.
