The Waikato Museum is located on the banks of the Waikato river and is located in Hamilton's south end cultural precinct. It's open 10am-4.30pm daily, apart from Christmas Day. Free entry, donation/koha welcome.
The museum hosts numerous international exhibitions including Hatching the past: Dinosaur eggs & babies, coming early September.
With multiple galleries, including the Trust Waikato Art Gallery and the Exscite Galleries, the museum tells the stories of our art, our culture, our history and our innovation.
