Your voice
Youth Councils in New Zealand profile young people with a voice to represent their views in the wider community. Youth input allows direct insight into how youth use and perceive the city including the facilities, events and activities it provides.
The Hamilton Youth Council is designed to encourage youth participation in civic affairs and provide a voice on youth issues.
The Youth Council comprises of 15 young people aged between 15 and 25 years of age, from a diverse range of backgrounds in an attempt to best represent Hamilton's youth community.
The Youth Council advocates for and supports youth events, activities and facility provisions within the city. The Youth Council also provide a youth perspective on wider issues, both within the city and Nationwide.
