Proposed District Plan Maps

How to use

The Proposed District Plan Index shows an overview of the city of Hamilton, with the city boundary outlined in yellow. The city map is overlaid with a grid, with each square within the grid covering a section of the city.

To View

You need to have acrobat adobe reader loaded to access the pdf files. You can download this free software from the following link

Zoom

To zoom into a particular area within the city, click on the relevant grid square. To zoom back out to the navigation page (the Proposed District Plan Index), click on the back arrow icon.

Viewing within a Grid

Within each grid map square, the location of the grid square is shown in relation to the rest of the city in the bottom right hand corner. It also shows the grid reference number of the grid square you are accessing. Within a grid square, to zoom in further, click on the zoom (magnifying glass) icon, and to move around the page, use the pan (hand) icon.

Viewing the Key

To access the key, click on map legend for the various zonings, overlay notations and other map notations.

Search for a street

1. Enter the street name to search for (e.g. VICTORIA):
2. Press Go
3. The location of the street on the grid will be displayed as a grid reference number (e.g. S22)
4. Select the grid square indicated and click on the square to zoom in.
