Community Outcome 2.1
Hamilton is recognised for its wide range of events, activities, attractions and entertainment for everyone, including iconic events.
Objective
To enable council to receive funds from the sale of naming rights to Council owned national and regional facilities
Policy
1. That Council will sell naming rights to the following Council owned national and regional and community facilities:
National
§ Waikato Stadium
§ Seddon Park
§ Proposed Indoor Stadium
Regional
§ Claudelands Event Centre
§ Founders Theatre
§ Community Theatre
§ Meteor Theatre
§ Porritt Stadium
Community
· All other Council facilities
2. That each possible sale of naming rights to a Council owned facility will be considered by full Council as to whether the amount offered is acceptable.
3. If naming rights are sold, Council will decide how the proceeds are used on a case-by-case basis.
